Rose Byrne chose a gorgeous Lanvin gown in the most popular shade of the Golden Globes--purple! I thought the dramatic and deep shade of her gown was the most tasteful of all Sunday night. She paired it with Brian Atwood shoes (poor lovelies never got any airtime under all that fabric!) and a stunning set of vintage jewels from Stephen Russell. A great way to wear big pieces of jewelry is to incorporate them into your hair and dress like she did, it leaves arms and neck bare yet still gives her outfit a lot of glitz. Julia Roberts tops off a simple black YSL dress with a stunning vintage sautoir from Van Cleef & Arpels. As soon as I saw it, I was fascinated and knew that there was something special about it because it was pretty much her entire look. She wasn't going to go unnoticed in just a LDB! The scene stealing pendant is encrusted with 29 citrines and diamonds and is set in 18K gold. How much does it weigh though? She probably needed a massage the next day!

So I had lunch with my mom the other day, and she was wearing a number of pieces I was drooling over, including a museum-quality cameo and a gold link bracelet. I asked her if it was vintage - and she said yes. (Keep in-mind, that my mother's business is vintage and estate jewelry). That being said, I wanted the bracelet, but she wasn't about the part with it because it is the only gold-tone piece she owns at the moment that works with the recently acquired cameo.

Anyway, today, I found this $58 Estate Link Bracelet on the J Crew website - and I'm thrilled, because it practically mirrors my mom's!

Speaking of my mom, I'll be doing a post on her jewels, (the ones that are available for purchase) soon, but she is lacking a website, so it might take a bit longer than I'd like.
