After buying this Teong Kay necklace on a recent shopping spree to Rumor boutique, Eva Longoria seems to be wearing it non-stop. Eva fell in love with the collection and bought 4 different styles! In addition to sporting it straight out of the store, Eva wore the long necklace to lunch at Café Med, as well as to the “You Gotta Have Heart” benefit later in the week. The 14k gold filled necklace comes with both gold and silver circles – a chic and versatile accessory to be worn with any outfit. Eva’s favorite new necklace is available for $132 on www.shoprumor.com.

Left:Large Chain- $1080, Large pendant $2080 Right: Small bee pendant necklace $390

I went to the Slane and Slane showroom for a blogger event last month in NYC and was introduced to a whole new obsession. Landon Slane, 1/2 of the sister duo who design the line, was there to meet and greet us (with a bulging belly!) and show the new collection. I of course did not leave empty handed, I can not resist anything sparkly! I bought a gorgeous chunky chain with diamond toggle and large bee pendant with diamonds, which I've been wearing daily and get so many compliments! It's casual and hip but has the bling I require on a daily basis. I also love bees, so this was the perfect trinket for me.

They also gave everyone a party favor at the end of the event. A small and delicate silver/gold bee pendant on silver chain. I layer it with other pieces, it is so cute!

But my favorite styles from them are the matte gold pieces. Chunky chains layered together with bold lockets and pendants, these are amazingly chic items that all women need to have in their jewel boxes. I love bangles and stack them on my arm daily but I have tiny wrists so it's hard to find bangles that fit properly. The solution is a clasp of course but not all jewelers have that option. Cartier has the love bracelet which I have in both white and yellow gold but it takes two people to remove. This is not the most convenient because I don't wear the same thing every day-- I am a fickle girl and need variety in my daily accessories! Luckily, Louis Vuitton has the solution for my tiny wrist dilemma, the Clous Bracelet!

Simple, elegant, and impossibly chic-- the Clous has a small clasp on the top that you can pop open to remove without screws, nuts or bolts. There is also a glittering diamond on the side, so you get the look of bling without looking like a pole dancer. I met a stylish woman who had three on her arm in white, yellow, and rose gold in various sizes. I loved the way it looked, the different dimensions gave it effortless appeal and of course the three different colored golds allow you flexibility in your other jewelry. $4550 at Louis Vuitton boutiques worldwide.

Jude Frances is designed by a delightful duo whom I met six years ago when the line was just starting out. Judith and Frances were moms in Suburban Orange County who wanted to create an affordable line of whimsical jewelry that women can buy for themselves. They felt a woman should treat herself to a trinket whenever she felt like it! The line has grown so much, including a high end "Couture" jewelry line for Jewel Snobs! At the core of the line, however, are the reasonably priced baubles like the ones above. The small princess ring is just the thing to lift your mood, and at that price, you should get two to stack! I love Jude Frances' signature motif, the Maltese cross. Chic and timeless, it's jewelry you can wear daily without looking ridiculous. At Saks.

If you love the look of jade, however, you can get it from the master of costume jewelry- Kenneth Jay Lane. The romance and mystery of the past and the elegant restraint of the present distinguish the work of jewelry designer Temple St. Clair. Rooted in the mystery and the romance of the past, Temple’s pieces feature an elegant restraint, a clean modern line, and a sensitivity to color that are indisputably contemporary — yet utterly timeless. I had lunch with a girlfriend who was wearing a delicate gold chain with a gold pendant made of sparking sapphires. Without asking, I knew it was Temple St. Clair. Her signature style is unmistakable as is the workmanship of her jewels.

In Temple’s colorful Southern childhood, the many vivid storytellers in her family gave her an early appetite for literature and art. Born in Virginia, Temple studied art and literature of the classical world and the Italian Renaissance at Smith College and in Florence, Italy, where she lived for many years.

Having spent over a decade living and studying in Europe, Temple draws her inspiration and influence from the Mediterranean basin. Temple has collaborated with master artisans in Florence for the past twenty years. During that time, with her designs, she has taken the artisans back in pursuit of traditional techniques and the old world quality seldom seen in modern jewelry.

Why jewelry? “Since ancient times, personal ornamentation has signified many things and told many stories,” Temple explains. “Beauty, of course, nobility, honor, desire, power, taste and love. Jewelry reverberates with meaning and allusion. I love to read a woman by how she chooses to adorn herself—whether she is a Bronzino Medici, a movie star in Vogue or a modern American you see on the street.”

Temple insists on the finest quality of craftsmanship and materials made by Italian artisans who have been working in Florence for generations. She adds new collections each year though they always include the Classics: fabricated in 18-karat gold or platinum and featuring “precious” semi-precious stones, diamonds, and pearls.

Temple’s work is currently featured by a variety of prominent retailers including guild jewelry and high-end specialty stores across the country. Check Temple's website for complete list of retailers.

I was recently introduced to the spirit of Cindy Chao, a jewelry designer based in Taiwan. I love discovering new jewelry designers, especially those with an incredible eye for detail and design like Cindy- one of the most promising jewelry designers I have seen in a very long time! A friend of mine had several pieces made by Cindy and showed them to me during her last visit, the pieces were extraordinary and exquisite and like nothing I had ever seen. Inspired by her Eastern roots and by the forces of nature, Cindy's jewelry is astounding and fascinating. Owning one of her pieces is like capturing the essence of nature and owning the spirit of beauty. Each piece is carefully designed and meticulously handcrafted- a conch pearl rests delicately against the sensual curves of lily petals made of diamonds, a golden pearl mounted as the exotic center of a spray of diamonds, a diamond nestled in a cluster of pearls, each piece unique in its own way. I am waiting for my first Cindy Chao pieces, I was told the wait would be long, but as all things worth owning, it is worth the wait. Email her showroom for details and point of purchase.

A simple diamond band is anything but simple in Cindy's hands. This reminds me of vintage art deco jewelry with a modern twist. The sapphires bring color and elegance to the classic design.

Our friends always say I have my husband wrapped around my finger; just to give you a quick example, he spent hours (it was a workday and he had to cancel meetings, luckily he is self employed!) looking for a dress I forgot to pack to New York for Fashion Week last month and after he found it, he sent it to me Fed Ex overnight so I could wear it to a party. Not gallant enough? What about the time he sent me Easter cookies via Fed Ex International overnight (with a Bvlgari diamond necklace hidden inside) when I was working in Asia so that I wouldn't miss out on one of my favorite holidays? I could go on but it would just make you sick and hate your own husband. His friends constantly tease him but he just laughs them off, there are worse things in life than being lovesick! If there is someone in your life you'd do anything for and are just lovesick over, show it to them with the Pianegonda Lovesick Heart Wraparound Ring, at eLuxury.

Southern women love to monogram everything, and I do mean everything. Towels, bags, toiletry cases, soap, you name it, we'll monogram it. When I made my formal debut I even received a soft little portable cooler with a polka-dot handle and a monogram on it. (Because every debutante must have a inconspicuous way to carry her liquor and who can think of a better way than an adorable monogrammed cooler disguised as a bag.) This seems to me to be the only explanation for why I love this necklace by Lizzie Scheck. It is a classic and would dress up a pair of jeans and a white tee-shirt perfectly or I could wear it with a dress. I was a Fine Arts major in college before switching to International Finance (due to the urging of my father who feared I would end up on the streets of New York painting Chinese characters on small grains of rice). Though I do not regret making that decision, I wish I continued my education of Art History. My favorite subjects during the short time I was an Art major was studying Goddesses depicted in art from different cultures. To me, Goddesses represent a celebration of femininity, grace, and beauty, like the earrings from Ippolita in 18k hammered gold. These earrings transcend time and culture, I can see it on Nut- The Egyptian Sky Goddess or on Kwan Yin- The Chinese Goddess of Mercy and Compassion. And have you ever noticed- no matter if the Goddesses are depicted in flowing gowns or in the nude, they are always adorned with a piece of fabulous jewelry. As you should, daily (wear jewelry I mean, not run around nude). Ippolita 18K Gold Goddess Earrings $2,500 at Saks Fifth Avenue.

One of my favorite fashion eras are the 1920's. My great-grandmother was born in 1901 and passed away when she was only three weeks shy of her 100th birthday. There are many pictures of her in my house in Alabama. I love to study them in great detail because they depict the evolution of fashion. My favorite pictures of her are from the 1920's. These are my favorite pictures because she is not only fascinatingly beautiful, but her clothes are to die for. I always love her necklaces which are usually layered pearls and chains much like these. I can see myself wearing this Temple St. Clair necklace and looking just as chic now as she did then. I don't like anything that is trendy or that has experienced mass popularity. I feel like overexposure of a product makes it lose whatever quality it had that made it endearing in the first place. David Yurman is pretty much the gold standard of jewelry in Dallas, especially at SMU. During rush parties, girls will ask you about your necklace/ring/bracelet to see if it is by David Yurman. This is exactly why I don't particularly care for his jewelry. It's not that I don't think his things are beautiful, it's just that I don't feel like something can be uniquely mine if the girl sitting next to me has the exact same thing on. It makes me feel like I've lost some of my individuality. This ring by Roberto Cavalli appeals to my individuality. The moonstone gives it a touch of softness that lends an interesting contrast against the details of the metal band. Roberto Cavalli Moonstone Ring, $263.00, eluxury.com.

I usually do not like men who wear jewelry but if done subtly, it can be a very appealing look. Like the industrial 18k, black rubber, ceramic and stainless bracelets above; they're young, hip (perfect for my brothers!) and very masculine. I can see this on Brad Pitt, he loves jewelry and carries it off fabulously without looking feminine or tacky. My husband, on the other hand, hates any kind of jewelry and only wears his platinum wedding band. Maybe it's the ex-football player in him but he thinks jewelry belong on women (hey, I am not complaining!) and I am certain he would laugh if I ever bought him any jewelry (other than cufflinks or watches) but if your guy is open to a little bling, this is the perfect Valentine's gift. Mens Bracelet with 18K Gold Screws and Black Rubber

When I first entered SMU, I thought my mother was kidding when she said that I would need every strand of pearls I had ever owned once I arrived on campus. It didn't take me long to find out that she was far from kidding. Women on SMU's campus wear pearls with their sorority jerseys and blue jeans (which often accompanies a faint smell of hard liquor left over from the night before). I never quite bought into the whole pearls and blue jeans look but I must admit that there is something enchanting about the combination. This is why I love this necklace by Majorica. It is a pearl hanging on a sterling silver chain which encompasses, in one fail swoop, my love of the delicate look of pearls against the contrasting look of metal. Perhaps I am an SMU pearl snob at heart after all. Majorica Coin Pearl Pendant Necklace, $125.00, saksfifthavenue.com.

I've always been a fan of Hermes scarves but I am always hesitant to wear them because, worn the wrong way, they can make your look so outdated. (I am all for classicism but I don't want to look like a fashionably confused version of my grandmother!) This Alexis Bittar pin can be a cleaver way to allow you to wear your favorite scarf while still updating the look. (The trick is to clip the pin in an unusual place so that you are still revealing an alluring amount of skin that appears accidental.) My favorite way to incorporate a pin in this way is to pin the scarf at the back of the neck or to one shoulder. This way, when you turn around there is an interesting element to your look that looks very creative yet sophisticates. Alexis Bittar Large Jolie Fleur Pin, $245.00, saksfifthavenue.com.

Jewelry Designer Kelly Alexandra: Age 12

One of our editors featured Kelly Alexandra's jewels a while back but I did not get a first hand look until today at her showroom (and bought a few very fabulous pieces I will be wearing over Fashion week!) and I have to say "WOW". The fact that the pieces are fashion forward and beautiful and that the designer, Kelly Alexandra, is only 12 years old completely astounds me! I am amazed at her taste level, craftsmanship, and her appreciation of vintage stones and antique glass that she uses throughout her collection. Email Kelly's mom, Andrea, for pricing and availability.

These Chinese decoupage beads ($475) are painstakingly created one at a time by applying fine strips of Chinese newsprint to hand-drilled wooden beads. Kelly takes a full eight hours to make each necklace. The unique spacer beads of solid ebony wood inlaid with copper, silver, and brass are imported from Mali, Africa. A black satin ribbon completes this limited edition necklace.

1930's Venetian Glass necklace with matching earrings. Necklace- $175

Extremely hard to find Venetian glass leaves from the 1930's, the glass sparkles with highlights of gold and silver on an opalescent white base. Kelly delicately places these leaves on sterling silver chain and adds crystal teardrops for additional brilliance. The vintage glass matching earrings are lovely in their simplicity and speak for themselves.

This special African green glass creation was inspired by Kelly's love for the sea and her admiration of African craftsmanship. The recycled green glass is processed in Ghana, Africa.

Kelly combined the glass beads with carved jade, crackle Rock Crystal, green Quartz, and African turquoise. This piece can be worn as a single or double strand and has a removable green glass Asian pendant with the symbol of three fish. $375

I love buying jewelry for myself and have always encouraged girlfriends to do the same. I never understood women who felt the need to "wait" for a man to buy them beautiful jewels! Not that I don't appreciate my husband when he brings home prettily wrapped boxes from Cartier or Bvlgari (which he does, often!) but I just think women should buy jewelry for themselves if they are able to. I designed a line of jewelry sold at major department stores and you have no idea how often I sat at trunk shows listening to women say, "I really shouldn't buy this, I should wait for my husband/boyfriend/dad to buy it for me. I just feel too guilty to buy it for myself". Well now you can buy all the jewels you want without any guilt. Jewelry designer Joan Hornig brilliantly devised a model of giving 100% of the profits on each piece to the purchaser's charity of choice and challenges women to use beauty and fashion in a new way. This means you can buy to your heart's content because every penny of the profits will go to your favorite charity! Now that is worth splurging on. I love the cuffs above and the diamond earrings and no, I will not be waiting for my husband to buy it for me. Go to Joan's website to pick your favorite bauble and help your favorite charity at the same time.

My obsession with wood accessories continue with this whimsical necklace from Marni. I love big bold jewelry but being petite I have to be careful with this look. I generally pick one statement piece and leave the rest of my body bare of jewelry. This delightfully chunky necklace would be beautiful with so many things in my closet, it'd brighten a sweater and add depth to a LBD. Most Marni necklaces cost in the 4 figures so at $486 this is a really great deal. Made of wood and metal link loops with Marni's signature colored resin discs inscribed with the Marni logo. Coco Chanel once said she loved nothing more than being wrapped in chains, and this is a necklace I think she would approve of if she were still alive. Marni Loop necklace At NAP.

I am a die hard city girl and when I first moved to Texas I had a really hard time adjusting to the cows and horses that seem to roam at will everywhere I turn. I remember my first visit to a Texan ranch for a bar-b-que; a snake dangled from a tree in front of me and I screamed for about 10 minutes frozen in horror before running for my car and refusing to get out the entire afternoon, leaving my husband and his friends laughing. I am also terrified of creepy crawly things that accompany nature walks, my theory is: why walk in the woods when a stroll down 5th Ave is just as good (not that there aren't any creeps there but at least I get to shop). I have never gone camping either and never plan to. Why camp out when The Four Seasons has nice and comfy beds and you can order room service instead of being room service to some grizzly bear!?!? I do enjoy the beach, but only at a resort where I am guaranteed a bottle of champagne/water/wine whenever I please. So you see, I am not a nature girl. In fact, the closest thing I get to nature is through my accessories. Like the gorgeous wood bangles accented with semi-precious stones - pink topaz, peridot and aquamarine from Kara Ross above. Simple and chic, a stack of these will perk up any outfit and you won't risk any kind of harm or injury. Kara Ross Bracelets at Vivre

I think right hand rings are extremely important for single and taken women alike. I personally wear a diamond ring on my right hand that was passed down to me from my mother and a light blue topaz ring on my left hand that my great-grandmother purchased in Greece as my mother's high school graduation present. I love wearing beautiful stones on my hands for two reasons: one, hands, like shoes, reveal a person's personality and secondly, I think it is really important to wear something beautiful that makes you smile. These rings are of course better when they are accompanied by a story. Whenever I look at my light blue topaz ring I think of my great-grandmother. She was a strong, intelligent and charming woman who was born in 1901. She learned how to drive a car before women were expected to do so, and also attended college. She made her husband chase after her for years before she finally agreed to marry him. He wrote her love letters addressed to his "beautiful blue eyed darling" and my great-grandmother would insist that he had the wrong girl because she did not have blue eyes (which was a lie). The next time you're on a trip pick up a piece of jewelry and make sure to include a story with it before you give it away. If you're not traveling anytime soon grab your mother/sister/daughter/best friend and treat yourself to a day without any responsibilities that you will remember forever. You can end it with a shopping spree at Saks where you can find these beautiful rings. It's the memory, not the place, that counts.Stephen Dweck Bronze Flower Ring, $236.90, saksfifthavenue.com; Jude Frances Small Princess Ring, $1,250.00, saksfifthavenue.com; Julie Sandlau Black Onyx Ring, $245.00, saksfifthavenue.com.

This fabulous pair of estate diamond (F color VS1) and blue sapphire earrings set in platinum are from Tiffany & Co. circa 1990. It's humorous to me that 1990 is considered "Estate" as I was a sophomore in college during that time. I still feel like the same co-ed who delighted in new discoveries of the world so how can 18 years have passed? But even in college, I appreciated the finer things in life, thanks to my Shanghainese grandmother who is still glamorous at 95 years old. From an early age, she taught me quality things will last beyond my lifetime. From jewelry to clothes and handbags, I learned to appreciate the very best. And you are actually being frugal by buying one amazing item then a dozen trendy things each season. So if you are looking for an investment that will also glitter beautifully on you, the diamond and sapphire earrings from Tiffany's are perfect for you. At $5,695, it is priced substantially lower than its retail price (roughly $15,000). So you see, I have saved you money and found you a treasure to cherish for generations. Now how can you beat that?

The reason I chose these earrings is because they are modeled after pansies, one of my mama's favorite flowers. (If you haven't noticed, I greatly appreciate and admire my mother. She always makes lemons into lemonade and she loves to show people her can-can. No really, she does the can-can every chance she gets. Besides, we share the same birthday.) Pansies are funny flowers because they nod their heads when it rains or when it's dark outside. When the sun comes out they perk up and almost seem to smile at you. I love these earrings by Jane A. I hope they do the same for you. Jane A. I live a bit of a double life. I love fashion (obviously or I wouldn't have this once-in-a-lifetime badass job writing for Jewel Snob!) but I have another love, politics. Strange I know, but some days there is just nothing better for me than to come home and turn on CNN and hear Anderson Cooper talk about Benazir Bhutto and her former quest for democracy in Pakistan. Other days coming home and crawling into bed with a Vogue is my ideal way to unwind. For my two double lives, I keep in stock a little black dress that can be worn to fashion shows or to the New Hampshire primary (which I am attending). The trick, I've found, to giving this dress a duality necessary for my double lives is jewelry. This beautiful Gurhan necklace is perfect for either function. I could easily put on a beautiful jacket with my black dress and some kitten-heeled Louboutins and be ready to meet the political world head-on. Vice versa, I could wear this necklace with no jacket and a pair of model-high Chloe platforms and be mistaken for a model all night. Gurhan 24K/Diamond Droplet Necklace, $2000.00, saksfifthavenue.com.
