Cavalli’s Resort 2013 collection was at least partially inspired by exotic birds, and the influence in abundantly and stunningly clear! What isn’t clear to me is what kind of bird this is – a blue flamingo with peacock feathers? Whatever the case, it’s very chic and comes in a multitude of colors. The collar is the single most important accessory of the year. I love that something as prim and proper as it can become vibrant and zany. And I can’t think of anything more fun to wrap around my neck than Cavalli’s whimsical bird! Wear it over an old favorite LBD, and see the dress given new life. Collars really have a transformative power. I can’t wait to add this one to my collection!
