Mawi, one of my favorite costume-jewel lines, celebrates ten years of punk chic-ness with the release of a retrospective collection of limited-edition pieces. Words to describe the way the Mawi girl dresses, according to designer Mawi Keivom herself: dark, feminine, granny, and industrial. Much like the pieces themselves. Thanks to a sense of finesse, you can wear big, crazy stones but won’t look like a cast member of the now defunct GCB (I already miss that show!). Combining hardcore studs and badass spikes with sparkling crystals, the effect is utterly modern.
