I grew up in the 80′s when punk rock ruled. All I wanted to do was dress like Adam & the Ants with spikes, studs and chains. But – unfortunately for my punk phase – I’m from a conservative Chinese family. The closest I got to punk rock was my pair of black and white checked Vans. (Remember those?!)
Fast forward a bit: now that I’m all grown up, I can wear all the spikes I want. But this time around, I’ve reinvented my punk lifestyle. I want to be polished- like Eddie Borgo‘s silver spike earrings ($315). The sleek shape is the perfect combination of sophistication and rebellion.
This is my subtle tribute to my rebellious youth. How will you bring 80′s punk back?
