Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Twilight -- honestly I'm a romantic comedy/drama kinda gal, so I can't even begin to keep track of all these sci-fi, vampire, wizard, who-knows-what films (especially since they all have like 10 parts to them!). That said, there's no denying that millions have fallen under the Twilight spell (I even saw an episode of Oprah where she interviewed the author of the series, which actually was pretty interesting. Before writing Twilight the stay-at-home mom had never written a single book/short story...nothing! The whole story came to her in a dream she says). In keeping with the vampire trend, Demitasse Jewelry has come-out with a Vampire Collection. I kinda love the ring of fangs, though I can't imagine wearing this myself (a bit too aggressive for my personality!). The line retails for $48-$115.

Tiffany's Blue Book Collection was why Holly Golightly went all batty. This is their most precious of jewels and I was able to preview this collection at their Rodeo Drive store. Trying not to faint was a serious feat. Everything was beyond, but these few pieces caught my eye and imagination (wouldn't it be fantastic to just sleep with these?). I don't know if I can properly justify the price but as a bystander, I can attest that this bracelet is kick ass and awesome!!! It is rose gold and sterling silver with 6.47 carats of diamonds. Not only is Ginger McGann one of my closest friends but I am proud to say, she is also amazingly talented and the most creative person I know. She began her collection a year ago but she has been designing since the day she could hold a pencil and draw. You will never see another piece like this! The weight of this uniquely shaped brown kite diamond is 7.33 carats. I have a brown cognac diamond and the color is truly mesmerizing, you wouldn't think something that is brown could be so brilliant and multi-faceted in color. But of course, mine is nothing like this, the long kite shape looks like it's from another planet. And not only is the brown kite spectacular, the large diamond right above it is 5.57 carats, D color and flawless!! The total weight of the entire necklace is 50.12 carats. Christie's will is holding their "Magnificent Jewels" auction on December 1, 2009. The total value of this lot is estimated at over $33 million and includes 2 vivid colored diamonds that would seriously make me consider doing very bad things for. Especially the 5.00 carats natural vivid pink diamond ring by Graff. The pink diamond is cushion shaped and is flawless (VS1 clarity). This type of naturally colored pink diamonds (type lla) are extremely rare and known for its uniform color. It is surrounded by shield-shape diamonds, mounted in platinum and 18K rose gold. Staring bid is $5 million and is estimated to go for upwards of $7 million.

Another indeedly magnificent colored diamond in the lot is the vivid yellow, also by Graff. It is a 9.03 carats, oval shaped, fancy vivid yellow diamond with 2 pear shaped diamonds on either side, mounted in platinum and yellow gold. The clarity of this diamond is VVS1 and is type la, which is more common. Thus, the lower starting bid of $933,395 - $1,166,744, even though it is so much bigger!
