Mawi Quartz Drop Earrings

user-pic6

Okay frugal Jewel Snobs, check out these fabulous earrings by Mawi! At first glance they resemble rubies surrounded by antique seed pearls with diamond leaves. At second glance they still resemble the real thing! I love the antique setting, perfect for my friend who is afraid to buy old jewelry for fear the previous owners' energy is still attached to it. (I am a fiend for antique jewelry but I always spray it with alcohol and lavender to clean the energy off. I then ask the piece for permission of ownership. Although true Jewel Snobs know that you never really own your jewelry, it owns you!) Anyway, this piece is perfect for the girl who wants nice jewelry but can not afford her own yet or found a man who can. The bloody red quartz is the splash of color you need to liven up a little black dress or dress up a pair of jeans. The best part is the price, $216! Purchase Mawi Quartz drop earrings here.

Lucifer Vir Honestus Cervello Ring

Check out what Lucifer (the jeweler, not the devil) is tempting us with. The curved cervello ring made of 18k rose gold and diamonds is a delicate ring with bold design. The four connecting circles glittering with diamonds wrap around your finger and no matter which way it's turned, you're guaranteed a vision of bling. I like unique pieces like this, some people want a giant rock without design (well, I want that too, okay- I want it all. Ask my friends and husband, no one loves jewelry more than me! Well maybe Liz Taylor- which is what they call me) but I appreciate the craftsmanship put forth in a piece like this. Having taken metalsmithing classes and an attempt at a career in jewelry design (sold at Nordstrom thank you very much!) years ago, I can tell you this was no easy piece to make. The artisan had to first figure a way to connect the rings seamlessly in addition to setting the diamonds in well enough to stand the banging it will get on the inside of the finger. Now this is something you can treat yourself without guilt, it's like getting 4 rings for the price of one :) $4,195 at Barneys.com

Lanvin Earrings

You all know I am obsessed with Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, from bags to dresses, my closet is bursting with Lanvin goodies! I am now obsessing over these earrings for Fall, the entire piece is made of wood! The gorgeous natural wood details are stunning, now I am not a granola type of girl but I love the unexpected glamour wood bring to jewelry. The ribbons soften the construction of the piece and make it the perfect compliment to your little black dress this season. $565 at Gail Rothwell East Hampton, NY; 631-324-6666.

Louis Vuitton Bangles

What do celebs like Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez plan to wear with their drab Fall wardrobe? A stack of polished bangles of course! I love the gray palettes for Fall but you have to admit it gets a bit depressing to be so bland. I of course am a girl who loves to bling and shine and these Louis Vuiton bangles are glamorous without being tacky. Prices range from $1,230 - $1,386 at Louis Vuitton stores or call 310-859-0457.
